Aloha! Welcome to the Fourth week of the 2025 REEFSCAPE Build Season!

Check out our Week 4 Recap on YouTube!

Day 23

It's the start of Week 4 and we picked up right where we left off! The Control Systems started their day testing a new prototype part, assessed damages, and fixed wiring issues. The Construction team was CADing parts, and used the waterjet to cut out and make spare parts. The Business, Media, and Documentation team collected more clips, finished the interviews, finalized the Week 3 Recap Video, and continued to work on the FIRST Impact Award presentation slides. We can’t believe that it's already Week 4 and were thrilled for what will challenge us for this week!

Day 24

It’s day 24 of Week 4, and we can’t believe how far we are into the build season! The Control Systems started working on the vision processing, worked on the improvements to the wiring, and continued testing the robot on the practice field. The Construction team started to CAD parts for the competition robot, and cut those said parts on the various machines. The Business, media, and documentation team took more photos and videos from the day, and continued to finalize the FIRST Impact Award Essay and slides. As the day comes to an end we can’t wait for the results of our determination and hard work!

Day 25

We’re back once again with Day 25! The Control Systems started the day testing the Limelight visual tracking for the camera systems. The Construction team got their hands dirty once more, working on constructing more parts for the competition robot, our mentors helping veteran students make said parts, while also teaching newer students how to work the various machines around the workshop. The Business, Media, and Documentation team took more photos and video clips, documenting today’s progress and everything that is happening, and continued touching up the FIRTST Impact Award Presentation slides. We are filled with determination and will not stop, and we are ready to fight against any upcoming challenges!

Day 26

We start the day with a bang and determination! Team 4270 came to our workshop and were shown around, seeing what we do, and what type of work our team does. The Control Systems started the day testing the set positions, the alignment, and the camera systems for the robot, while also continuing to practice with the robot. The Construction team started the day with CADing, cutting and laser cutting, and finishing the parts by Lathing them for the competition robot. The Business, Media, and Documentation subteam started the day meeting and helping other teams on The FIRST Impact Award Exchange presentation, took clips from the previous days and started to edit the Week 4 Recap video, and documented with photos and videos for the day. With the day coming to an end, we celebrate with a bang and renewed determination!

Day 27

Unfortunately we had some setbacks due to a power outage and we were unable to meet this day! A massive storm having hard rain with heavy wind, and knocked down our energy around the entire state and we couldn’t work for the day.

Day 28

We're so close to the end of Week 4 and our determination continues to grow! The Control Systems worked on the set positions to speed up the process for the best results, practiced and worked on the drive of the robot, and fixed damages to the robot. The Construction team started the day getting their hands dirty, laser cutting and making parts with the various machines around the workshop, while the veteran students helped teach the newer students how to work the various machines. The Business, Media, and Documentation team continued checking over their FIRST Impact Award presentation, making banners, collecting clips to continue editing the Week 3 Recap video, and took all the photos and videos. Although we faced setbacks when the power went out yesterday, we still continue to work hard and continue our determination!

Day 29

It’s the end of Week 4 and we can't wait to tell you what we’ve done! The Control Systems started the day rewiring the practice robot from earlier damages, added a camera system for object tracking, and modified a mechanism on the robot for higher scoring capacity. The Construction team started their day by water jetting parts, cutting parts, and using the various machines to make the competition robot parts. The Business, Media, and Documentation team continued to edit the Week 3 Recap video, while also collecting photos and videos, and looked over, and practiced the FIRST Impact Award presentation and essay. We can’t believe it's already the end of Week 4, and were thrilled for the upcoming challenges.
