VRC MS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Team 3590A, 3590B, 3590C, and 3590D arrived at the Middle School School State Championship, at the Readiness Center located in the Hawaii Army National Guard, excited to see what the day would bring.
INTENSE MATCHES
The Readiness Center pulsed with energy as 13 Hawaii teams gathered for an electrifying mix of cooperation and rivalry. The stakes were high with just 3 coveted spots in the world championship. Drivers expertly commanded their robots, executing fast and precise moves. Alliances clashed, merging tactics and skills for a thrilling exhibition of robotics brilliance.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS AND CELEBRATIONS
Our teams made a strong showing during the playoffs, securing impressive rankings of 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 10th. In a strategic move, the top-ranked 3590C team allied with 3590A, while 3590B partnered up with 3590D. Throughout the competition, our teams demonstrated incredible teamwork and determination. Their exceptional focus and unity highlighted their strategic thinking and collaboration skills. Despite a great effort, 3590B and 3590D were eliminated in the Quarterfinals. However, 3590A and 3590C strode on ultimately triumphing in the competition!
TEAM ARRIVAL AND PREPARATION
As teams reached the competition venue, they began by arranging their workstations and readying themselves for the mandatory inspection. Successfully clearing this step, they moved to the practice fields to ensure their autonomous routines were functioning at peak efficiency. With adrenaline running high, everyone eagerly awaited the start of the matches!
ALLIANCE SELECTIONS
By the end of this exciting day, Team 3590C placed 1st with a record of 9-1-0 (win-lose-tie). 3590A placed 2nd with a record of 8-1-1. 3590B was 7th with 5-5-0, and 3590D placed 10th with 4-5-1. We are so proud of our teams for making it this far in the season and continuously improving through the ups and downs. They have learned so much, and even brought home the gold! In addition to winning the tournament, 3590A won the Build award, 3590C won the Create award, and 3590C won the Judges award!
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!
We are so grateful to our mentors for guiding us all season. We couldn’t have done it without them! And for each team's hard work and perseverance to always improve. Since three of our teams qualified for worlds, they will be in preparation for the challenging competition to come. See us there!
