Week Five
Aloha! Welcome to the Fifth week of the 2024 CRESCENDO Build Season!
Check out our Week Five recap on Youtube!
Day 30
Our team has started off this 5th week on a strong-note. Construction is starting to powder-coat our main robot and are machining more parts. Control systems continue running and testing different autos, perfecting and ensuring its consistency along with starting electronic and motor testing for the competition robot . Business, Media, and Documentation continue making more updates to the website and are working on finalizing our Impact Essay and reviewing other teams’ essays.
Day 31
Starting Day 31, students worked until late in the night! We faced many challenges: adjusting our practice robot while testing autos and making the weekly changes necessary to the website! The Construction sub-team students are continuing to machine parts for the main robot. In contrast, some students work with Control Systems to create solutions when troubleshooting the practice robot. Control Systems have been busy perfecting the code and testing new autonomous systems alongside the construction students to assess the robot’s limitations. Business, Media, and Documentation students have been quite busy, meeting with their online mentor to work on FIA documents and taking photos and videos of each sub-team to update the website and show off for our weekly recap video!
Day 32
Students were busy working with little time left through this Build Season! The Construction students were quite busy, continuing to machine parts and making backup parts for both the primary and practice robots. The Control Systems students faced many challenges; they worked on adjusting positions and code while testing autos to improve the robot. Business, Media, and Documentation students worked on taking photos and updating the website, along with practicing FIRST Impact Presentations and Q&A with another FRC Team and our online mentor.
Day 33
We are half way through week five and our students are continuing to enhance our robot and team! On the Construction subteam, students have continued to work on machining parts and adjusting measurements to the robot. Control Systems have been working on wiring our main robot while continuing to test autos with the practice robot. Students have been working long and hard to improve code before the end of our six-week Build Season. Business, Media and Documentation have continued working on FIA submissions, presentation, and video! The Woodie Flowers submission was submitted while also working on adjustments to the presentation and script and making final changes to the FIA video.
Day 34
Continuing from Wednesday, studets are working on our robot quickly! Students overcame challenges and worked with each other to continue making progress. Construction students are continuing to machine parts for both the main and practice robot, along with repairing parts that have been damaged during testing. Control Systems have kept up wiring the main practice robot while some students work on autos to perfect the code. Business, Media, and Documentation students continue to work on the magazine and began gathering clips for the Week Five Recap that will be posted to our YouTube channel!
Day 35
As we close out Week Five, students are quick to get to work. Construction students have continued working on machining, repairing, and adjust parts for the competition and practice robot. Control Systems students continued to wire the competition robot and work on autos with the practice robot. On the Business, Media, and Documentation side of things, students have continued making adjustments to the website and magazine. BMD have also continued taking photos and video of each subsystem and working on FIA submissions.
Day 36
Week Five has quickly passed as we prepare to meet back on Monday. Construction students have worked all throughout the week on machining parts, adjusting areas of the robot, and repairing the robot after testing. Control Systems have focused on perfecting autos and creating new paths as students continue to wire the main competition robot. Business, Media, and Documentation students are making final adjustments to the magazine with comments and edits. Students also completed the Week Five recap while continuing to document each sub-team.
