MS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP


April 2024

On April 28, 2024, Teams 3590A and 3590B arrived at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, ready to compete! The beginning of an exciting day unfolded as both teams promptly got organized and successfully had their robots inspected. Filled with excitement, the teams eagerly strategized various approaches to win their upcoming matches and conquer the day's challenges!



TEAM COLLABORATIONS

An amazing example of team synergy was witnessed during Qualification Match 23, when 3590A joined forces with 426Z, the Wolverines. The seamless partnership between the two teams was built upon effective communication and cooperation. A great show of our amazing collaboration was at the end of the match. As the final seconds counted down, 3590A hung on the side of the bar with an A tier hang, and 426Z with a B tier. With their superb strategies, they overcame every obstacle! As they worked in unison, their combined efforts produced an outstanding result of 175 points compared to their opponents who scored 26 points. This achievement serves as a powerful testament to the incredible teamwork  displayed by both teams, showcasing the true spirit of collaboration and sportsmanship in action.



INTENSE MATCHES

Excitement filled the air as 310 middle school teams from all over the world arrived to compete at the 2024 VEX VRC Middle School World Championship! With Team 3590A in the Math Division and 3590B in the Arts Division, our teams had tons of opportunities to build new relationships and enjoy the experience! As qualification matches started, drivers skillfully maneuvered their robots, each team eager to outsmart and outplay their opponents. Since both teams based their robot designs off of being versatile to their alliances capabilities, they could smoothly use their strategies to ensure a positive result. Spectators watched in awe, captivated by the thrilling display of robotics prowess and anticipating the next round with great enthusiasm.



ALLIANCE SELECTIONS

Team 3590A and 3590B are so grateful to have competed at the Middle School World Championship and collaborated with so many amazing and talented teams. We can’t thank everyone enough for this opportunity. And with the end of the Over Under Season we thank our incredible mentors who were always there to support us through the thick and thin of this season. We can’t wait for our next game, High Stakes!


LOOKING AHEAD

As qualification matches came to an end, Team 3590A ranked 30th out of 80 teams and 3590B ranked 23rd out of 82. 3590B was captain of the 16th seed alliance, and chose the outstanding Team 7481C, I.R.S. Unfortunately, Team 3590A was not selected in an alliance and was eliminated. As the competition progressed, the teams proved their synergy and resolve, skillfully controlling the field and demonstrating strategic brilliance. Every calculated move and thoughtful decision highlighted their innate ability to work together and think strategically, leaving onlookers in awe of their remarkable collaboration and tactical prowess.
