As dawn broke over Waianae High School, Teams 359B, 3590A, and 3590B arrived ready to compete! They sprang into action, claiming their place in line for inspection. Thankfully, all three robots passed without a problem. The teams gathered with their qualification match partners, crafting cunning strategies and masterful maneuvers to clinch victory on the battlefield.

Team Collabortations

Team 3590A had the opportunity to partner with Team 27301A: Pele Power. Their Qualification Match 20 victory had forged a bond between them, and they were now poised to take on the competition as a united force, showing us what it means to be a part of a unified alliance.

TOurnament Results and Celebrations

By the end of this exciting day, Team 359B placed 3rd place with a record of 6-1-0 (win-lose-tie), Team 3590A placed 7th with a record of 4-3-0, and Team 3590B placed 14 with a record of 2-5-0. Team 3590A and 359B had to go against each other in the semifinals with 359B succeeding to the finals. The final showdown between 359B and 2459C against the formidable alliance of 96789Z and 3685B was a nail-biting spectacle, with the tension palpable as each team vied for the top spot. In the end, it was the latter who took home the trophy, but the determination and skill displayed by all teams was nothing short of inspiring. A massive shout-out to all teams at the competition for their unwavering spirit and teamwork!

Intense Matches

The air was electric at Waianae High School as the 18 teams from Hawaii battled it out in a frenzy of collaboration and competition. Drivers navigated their robots with lightning-speed reflexes, their hands gripping their controllers with laser-like focus. Every alliance sought the winning edge, putting their collective wits to the test in a symphony of strategy and skill. The day was nothing short of a triumphant showcase of robotics excellence!

Alliance selections

As the qualification matches ended, anticipation and nerves hung in the air. Team 359B placed 3rd, 3590A placed 7th, and 3590B placed 14th. 359B was chosen by 2459C: Gold Hawks Robotics, 3590A was chosen by 2443A: Blue Thunder 1, and 3590B was chosen by 2459D: Golden Hawks Robotics. All three teams pushed themselves to their limit and drove their robots as fast and efficiently as possible, stopping briefly to load tribals and score them in the goal. When each match ended, alliances waited anxiously for the scores, hoping that they would win the match to continue to compete. In the end, Team 359B made it to the finals, Team 3590A made it to the semifinals, and Team 3590B made it to the quarterfinals. 

Teams 359B, 3590A, and 3590B are so grateful to have this opportunity to compete at Waianae High School and meet some seriously talented teams from all across the Hawaiian Islands. We are honored to have incredible mentors and teammates who help us through challenges and hardships with unwavering support. They give us the confidence and courage to compete at our best and hopefully bring back successive wins for our team. We are pumped and ready for our next Waialua High and Intermediate School tournament on December 9th!
