On January 9th 2017 Team 359 was interviewed by Hawaii News Now, a local television news center. They were here to talk to students of the team, learn more about the program and especially our lead mentor Glenn Lee. They asked questions regarding Mr.Lee’s involvement and nomination in the global teaching award. Questions including “what skills do you learn in robotics?”, and “How would you describe Mr. Lee?” to that they recanted with "He's one of those people, that if you ask him for something that's going to help you grow and learn, he's going to do it, he'll go out of his way," 8th grader Levi Kim said. This was a very exciting event for Team 359, and a great way to promote and display our team to the rest of the state. We would like to congratulate our lead mentor for being one of 50 finalists¬†worldwide in the running for a global teacher award and a $1 million prize.
