Favorite memory in robotics: Experiencing the contrast of our team from no program in 2004 to winning the Championship Chairman’s Award in 2011.

Why did you decide to help out the robotics team?
As a founding member and current team leader of Team 359 back in 1999 and a former electrical engineer/business major, I have a vested interest and passion in utilizing my background in helping sustain the team and ensuring its success.

What do you enjoy most about robotics?
As a very competitive and anal person, robotics allows me to work with students in applying engineering design principles with an approach where paying attention to detail matters.

What have you learned about yourself as a mentor?
Working with students requires patience and compassion in helping them realize their strengths and skills, preparing them for post-secondary opportunities.

What do you think the kids benefit from most in robotics?
Providing them with real life, work place readiness skills that will help them become life-long learners. Ex. Teamwork , Commitment, and Responsibility.
