On March 28, 2017 a rookie chinese team came to our campus for a workshop in preparation for the Hawaii regional that weekend. Our team was very excited to invite team 6439 from Shanghai China to our school along with Sydney Australia's team 3132 Thunder Down Under.

On the first day of the Workshop we gave them a tour of the robotics facility. We started the day off in the cafeteria where our team set up breakfast food for the chinese and Australian team. We knew they had a long flight from their countries to compete in Hawaii. After they ate we took them on a tour around our campus first starting in U-building. We showed them where we practice, document, program, and make all the banners, binders t-shirts and more. After we finished up we went to the stock room and the autoshop. In the Auto Shop we showed the machines our team works at. We also showed them where we CAD our robot and assemble the robot together. After we showed them our facilities Thunder Down Under went on with their day and enjoyed the beautiful North Shore. Asfore TAnx we decided to show them what Hawaii has to offer and we took them to Haleiwa, a historic town located on the North shore. On a hot day shave ice at Matsumoto's , was perfect to cool us down. After sightseeing in Haleiwa the first day of the workshop was completed.
