On September 19-20, 2009 the Waialua Robotics Program had fun-filled bonding time at the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden, where they spent the weekend camping. It was a great way for Team 359’s FRC and VEX students to get to know each other. To start off the fun we all helped each other to set up our tents. After everything was all set up the team spent some time relaxing and conversing. A number of students even went on a nice day hike to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Soon night started to roll around and dinner was ready; a dinner that consisted of scrumptious hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, steak, and salad. For dessert there were delicious smores that we all made by the fire. Finally, to top the night off was a boisterous night hike that the whole team went on. It was a trip Team 359 will never forget.
To sum it up, it was a great weekend of camping for the Waialua Robotics team. Everyone now knows what it’s like to go camping with Mr. Lee, but of course more importantly, we all bonded as a team.
