The Waialua Robotics Program and National Honors Society (NHS) held blood drives every quarter which were located at their school.  The first blood drive was held in the blood mobile parked at the school’s gym parking lot. All blood drives after the first were held in Waialua High and Intermediate School’s gymnasium. The Hawaiian Kids and NHS wanted to help donate blood which would help save a great number of lives. With every pint of donated blood three individuals’ lives are saved. Members asked their family, friends, teachers, classmates, coaches, and even their neighbors to become blood donors. They signed up donors from the school and the communities, making the blood drive a success.  Students also solicited donations from the faculty, staff, and community.  At the last blood drive they were able to collect 43 pints of blood when their goal was 40. Donations of refreshments were also provided so that blood donors could snack on after, to prevent them from fainting. In the end Team 359 and NHS members recommended the blood donors to donate their blood at the next blood drive for their blood drives would not have been possible without the donors.
